The company is formed from 25 years of in-house experience within both national corporates and start-up ventures.

Career history

As the founder of NB: Virtual Assistant, Nicola has taken the skills and expertise she has gained during her extensive career and applied this knowledge to her business, providing clients with a competent and reliable office administrator and secretary.

For ten years Nicola worked in the electronics industry, based in both sales and quality assurance teams. From there, she moved into the world of commercial property, holding Branch Secretary, Negotiator an Agency Coordinator roles at both London Clancy and Lambert Smith Hampton.

Nicola’s career has been immersed in fast-paced industries and, from that standpoint, she is no stranger to complex organisations or technical market jargon. In fact, getting to grips with a company’s ethos, offering and industry makes her job so enjoyable.

She is a self-confessed workaholic with OCD tendencies when it comes to organisation, accuracy and presentation. A firm believer that typos, off-brand marketing, sloppy client communication, and all manner of schoolboy errors can close doors to new opportunities before they’ve even opened.

As a technology junkie, Nicola is completely adept at using traditional and more modern office software and gadgets. She is even more of a fan when that technology can improve a business’ efficiency, and has been heavily involved in the rollout of various company systems.

Taking a step away from full-time employment gave Nicola the opportunity to go it alone and be her own boss. To NB:VA Nicola brings her acute attention to detail, her critical eye, her honest approach and her OCD tendencies(!) to deliver reliable business support to her clients.
